USER AGREEMENT

Introduction

This User Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the terms and conditions of use for the services provided by Science Communication International ("Service"), available at https://sciconf.ho.ua ("Website"). By using this Website, you ("User") agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Website.

Service Responsibilities

1. Acceptance and Publication of Materials: The Service will accept materials (theses) submitted by Users and publish them on the Website.

2. Storage: The Service will store submitted materials indefinitely and provide access to them for viewing by Internet users.

3. Copyright Respect: The Service will respect the copyright of submitted materials.

4. Certificates: The Service will provide a certificate of participation in the conference (PDF file) to Users.

Service Rights

1. Co-Organizer Inclusion: If a User selects the "Become a co-organizer" option in the registration form, the Service has the right to include the User's institution as a co-organizer of the conference. This includes the use of the institution's name  in the design of the thesis collection, registration form, and certificates.

User Responsibilities

1. Submission Requirements: Users must submit materials (theses) that adhere to the specified formatting and design requirements.

2. Copyright Compliance: Users must ensure their submissions comply with all relevant copyright laws.

3. Payment: Users must pay the publication fee for theses, as specified in the payment method.

General Legal Terms

1. Modifications to Agreement: The Service reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Termination: The Service reserves the right to terminate a User's access to the Website without notice if the User violates this Agreement.

3. Limitation of Liability: The Service is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of the Website or the inability to use the Website. Additionally, the Service does not bear responsibility for inaccurate data supplied by the User.

4. Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold the Service, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of the User's use of the Service, violation of this Agreement, or infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.

5. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service is based, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

6. Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

7. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the User and the Service regarding the use of the Website and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

Dispute Resolution

1. Arbitration: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the jurisdiction where the Service is based. The arbitration decision shall be final and binding on both parties.

2. Jurisdiction and Venue: Any legal action or proceeding related to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the jurisdiction where the Service is based.

User Data and Privacy

1. Data Collection: The Service collects personal information necessary for the provision of services, including but not limited to, name, email address, institution details, and payment information.

2. Data Usage: The Service uses this data to manage User accounts, process payments, and provide the services outlined in this Agreement.

3. Data Protection: The Service implements reasonable security measures to protect User data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

4. Third-Party Disclosure: The Service will not disclose User data to third parties except as necessary to provide the services, comply with the law, or protect its rights.

Intellectual Property

1. Service Content: All content provided by the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of the Service and is protected by intellectual property laws.

2. User Content: Users retain all rights to their submitted materials but grant the Service a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the materials on the Website.

Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

1. Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

2. Submit any material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

3. Attempt to interfere with the operation of the Service or access it through any automated means.

By using the Service, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this User Agreement.

Effective Date: This Agreement is effective as of 07.07.2024.
